This page is a way to recognize those, humans and critters alike, that have touched the heart of ARC in a special way.

This page is especially dedicated to Molly and Olivia, two very special girls.  Look below to see how their hearts of gold are helping rescued animals.

Vickie

Many thanks to Vickie, who is our 2008 Volunteer of the Year!  She does it all!  She fosters, attends events, helps with fundraisers.  Vickie did most of the planning and preparation for one of our most successful events, our Step to the Rescue dance.  And she planned 2 within 7 months of each other!  Vickie is one of the most kind hearted people we know, with a particularly soft spot for animals.  The animals are lucky to have this great lady in their corner!

Tez

Thank you to Tez, who is our 2007 Volunteer of the Year!  She was one of the first people who contacted us when we started, with an offer of help.  She was also our first foster home and has helped us to save many dogs and cats.  Tez, you are a truly amazing person!

Molly and Olivia

Molly and Olivia, 8 and 9 years old, are two girls that think outside of the box.  At an age when most kids want cool new stuff and things for themselves, these two girls chose to sacrifice their wants and needs for those less fortunate.

It started with Olivia, who decided that for her 9th birthday party, she didn't want gifts.  Instead, she asked each of her guests to bring a dog or cat item, in lieu of a gift.  She then took everything to the Humane Society and graciously donated it.

Molly continued this tradition for her 8th birthday party.  She too, asked each of her guests to bring a dog or a cat item, in lieu of a gift and chose to donate everything to ARC.  When all was said and done, her efforts raised over 100 pounds of critter food, tons of treats for both cats and dogs, toys, leashes, collars and so much more.

We are in awe of these two.  Their efforts helped us (and the Humane Society) to not only feed our critters, but to help keep them happy with toys and treats.  Their generosity is amazing and we can't wait to see the impact these two make as they continue to grow up!  We might even take a page from their book and have an ARC Birthday Party!

Molly and Olivia, we think you're amazing!  Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness!
